Each month, we'll highlight a young girl who is excelling at softball. By raising the profile of these talented players, we hope to inspire others to get involved in the sport and our nonprofit.
Who should we feature next?
To nominate someone for Player of the Month (1) please complete the nomination form to tell us why she is deserving, and (2) email us a photo. Nominees must play in Lorain County to qualify.
APRIL 2025
Congratulations to Lydia Holcomb!
Lydia is a 7th-grader at Keystone Middle school where she plays softball. She also plays travel softball for the Diamond Chix. Her focus has been on bettering herself behind the plate to help her team compete with top level teams, which she has taken on like a champ. She’s in her fifth season with the Diamond Chix.
When Lydia’s not playing softball she enjoys fishing, hunting, and working on her 4-H projects. She has even taken on a new sport this year and is now loving the game of volleyball. She really enjoys art (and is pretty great at it, too!)
